Central Florida Weather

Walt Disney World is located around 20 miles from the city of Orlando in central Florida. The Universal theme parks, Seaworld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa are based in the same general area.

Central Florida experiences hot, humid weather throughout the whole year thanks to its subtropical climate.

The warmest summer months are July and August when temperatures can rise up to 31°C (90° F). During the cooler winter months of October to March the temperature stays around 19°C (70° F).

The state of Florida is also prone to frequent, short, heavy showers and thunderstorms between May and September, and humidity can get quite high.

The months of June to November are classed as ‘hurricane season’ when any hurricane activity will be at its peak.
