Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is one of two amazing water parks within Walt Disney World Resort.
It features attractions that are suitable for all members of the family, from children's areas through to incredible waterslides.
The surf pool is one of the world's largest wave pools, and provides a fantastic experience whether you enjoy bobbing around in the quite areas or heading for the action with the huge man-made waves.

The park is themed around a Disney legend, which tells us that Typhoon Lagoon was created following a huge storm.
As a result of the storm, surfboards and boats were thrown through the air and came to rest in some very unusual positions! So that's how that boat got up there!.
According to the legend, the shrimp boat 'Miss Tilly' was swept up in the storm and came to rest on the top of Mount Mayday, where she still remains. Each half hour, the boat's whistle blows and the volcano shoots an enormous geyser of water into the air.

Disney recommend renting a locker for personal belongings, especially if you plan on experiencing the big thrill attractions as it may be difficult to keep track of hats, glasses etc while plunging down the high-speed and steep drops.
Disney also advise wearing water shoes or flip-flops while visitng, as you may choose to climb stairs to access certain attractions. Plus, the ground can get hot and so will your feet!
