November 13th - A new exhibit, Colortopia, is now open at Innoventions East in Epcot. Guests will first experience the “Power of Color Theater.” This specially designed area uses vibrant hues along with harmonious sounds and narration to explore the psychology of color. For example, red can make me feel several emotions at once like anger or love.
Next is the “The Color Lab” which features two interactive stations. The first, Color Mix ‘n Match, allowes guests to mix red, green and blue to create new colors. The second station, Spinning Spectrums, uses revolving multi-colored disks to test color perception.
The third area is “Color Our World,” which features color shadows and a magic paintbrush. With the magic paintbrush guests can choose the color palette to create a spectacular scene on digital screen.

Reservations open for New Year's Eve at Walt Disney World
Reservations are now open for those guests planning to celebrate New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World:
Atlantic Dance Hall
Swing in the New Year at Atlantic Dance Hall with a live big band, fun and high spirits. Party hats and horns, a viewing of the Epcot fireworks at midnight, and champagne toast are included in the cost of admission. Or treat yourself to the VIP experience which includes access to the exclusive VIP section with your own bartender, ample seating, and a New Year’s Eve dessert bar.
This gala features food stations throughout the restaurant, and an unbeatable view of Magic Kingdom Park fireworks. A complimentary bar will be available, in addition to wine poured by the glass until midnight. The dress code requires everyone look their best: a dinner jacket is required for men (tie optional) and dress or pants ensemble for women.
In addition to the traditional buffet items, look for holiday favorites on New Year’s Day such carved and smoked pork, collard greens, ham hock, black eye peas, corn bread and seasonal fruit cobbler.
La Hacienda de San Angel
Seating begins at 9:30p.m. for this five-course prix-fixe dinner and alcohol pairings. The party includes a welcome margarita for adults, live entertainment from the mariachi band, and a view of the fireworks at Epcot.
Le Cellier Steakhouse
With dinner seatings at 4:30, 6:45, and 9 p.m., this special four-course meal is not to be missed. Lunch will also be served on New Year’s Eve from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Indulge in a special 3-course prix-fixe menu on New Year’s Eve. With lunch seatings at 11:45 a.m., noon, 2:15 p.m., and 2:45 p.m.; dinner at 5:45 and 6:15 p.m.; late night at 8:45 and 9:45 p.m.
Don’t miss this unforgettable opportunity to revel in the festivities of New Year’s Eve while enjoying a four-course prix-fixe meal while overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon. First seating takes place between 5:00 and 5:55p.m., second from 8:45 to 9:40p.m.

New Year’s Eve includes a ten-course menu including eight savory courses and two dessert courses, also offered is a nine-course wine pairing with eclectic and low-production wines.
Enjoy a custom New Year’s Eve Dinner buffet at World ShowPlace. Photo opportunities and classic Disney tunes make this a great dinner for the whole family. Look for a variety of soups and salads, oven-baked cod, chicken breast, mojo-roasted pork, carved mesquite-spiced deep-fried turkey breast, plenty of sides and a scrumptious dessert station. A kid-friendly station features favorites like mac and cheese, fried chicken fritters, mini corn dogs and more.
Elsa to light up Cinderella Castle at MVMCP
The special holiday festivities start Sunday, November 8, at Magic Kingdom Park with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
The party begins with a visit from Arendelle royalty for “A Frozen Holiday Wish,” presented on the Castle Forecourt Stage and featuring Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Kristoff. As a gift to the kingdom, Elsa lets it go and uses her icy powers to transform Cinderella Castle into a sparkling palace of ice.
Later, it’s lovely weather for a sleigh ride down Main Street, U.S.A. for “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.” Santa Claus, gingerbread men, elves, reindeer and other friends from the North Pole join Mickey and his pals for the happiest of holiday parades.
New this year, the acclaimed contemporary a cappella group VoicePlay bring their amazing talents to the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland. VoicePlay, who appeared on the TV show “The Sing-Off,” combine incredible vocal harmonies and an inventive “music without music” sound to create an unforgettable holiday concert experience. Give them a listen between performances of “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas.”
Elsewhere in Tomorrowland, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café becomes Club Tinsel for the evening when Phineas and Ferb show up, and that’s not all! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party also includes the “Celebrate the Season” show, cookies and hot cocoa, visits with Santa Claus in Town Square, a magical snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A. and favorite Disney characters on hand throughout the park to spread holiday cheer. To cap things off, “Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season” lights up the skies above Cinderella Castle with breathtaking fireworks and beloved music.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is held on select nights, November 8 – December 18, and is separate from regular Magic Kingdom Park admission. Tickets are available now.
October 30th - A new event is coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Club Villain is a special ticketed event in Sunset Showcase adjacent to Rock ‘n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. Guests will enjoy performances, delicious food, bewitching cocktails and enchanting encounters with some of the greatest Disney villains.
Reservations can now be made for the first Club Villain which will take place Jan.16th. At the event the mysterious Dr. Facilier will be the host for the evening, welcoming guests and his friends from the “other side” to his parlor of mystical mishaps, with musical numbers and music from his house DJ. Also stopping by will be Maleficent, Queen of Hearts, Cruella De Vil and the Evil Queen. There will also be available concoctions from the Potions Bar and culinary delights from New Orleans such as tender beef striploin rubbed with herbes de Provence, Voodoo sticky “pig wings” with citrus gremolata and spicy shrimp sautéed with Andouille sausage, tomato, okra and onions over creamy polenta.
Club Villain takes place select evenings for $99 per person, tax and gratuity included. Reservations are recommended and can be made up to 90 days in advance online. A separate ticket for admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is required.
October 26th - Orange Bird merchandise can be found in the Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom. New items will be available soon including two small kitchen towels decorated with Orange Bird graphics, an Orange Bird coffee mug, small dish and salt and pepper shakers. These items were designed to complement the previously released bowl, orange juice pitcher and small juice glasses. Also available will be the new, open edition retail MagicBand coming this December to select Walt Disney World Resort merchandise locations.
October 24th - Walt Disney World’s Epcot kicks off the 2015 holiday season on Nov. 27th. This year a new live musical performances by American Music Machine will be added to the entertainment. This five-member a cappella group will be rocking around the Fountain Stage, performing both modern and nostalgic holiday hits, including “White Christmas,” “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “All I Want for Christmas is You".
October 24th - Guests now have a new option to create and personalize retail MagicBands at Magic Kingdom. A new retail MagicBand on Demand station is now open inside the Tomorrowland Power & Light Co. location near Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom. Guests can choose to create either a retail MagicBand or a D-Tech phone case. If creating a retail MagicBand, there is a choice of eight different MagicBand colors including purple. There are also approximately 40 graphics to apply to the custom MagicBand and a few exclusive MagicBand graphics.
In addition to artwork, the retail MagicBand can be personalized with a name printed on the outside. Once designed, the retail MagicBand is printed in the location. The custom retail MagicBand can then be associated to a Guests My Disney Experience account, The MagicBand costs $21.95, the personalized retail MagicBand is $29.95.
October 23rd - Chef Rick Bayless, a six-time James Beard Foundation winner, is bringing Frontera Fresco, his table-service Mexican restaurant concept, to Disney Springs, the new dining, shopping and entertainment district at Walt Disney World Resort.
Opening in Summer 2016, Frontera Fresco will showcase the gourmet Mexican cuisine that has made Chef Bayless a culinary legend. “I’m thrilled to bring Frontera Fresco to Disney Springs and share my passion for Mexican cuisine with the families who visit Orlando every year,” Bayless said.
The new restaurant will feature authentic Mexican specialties such as hand-crafted tortas, tacos, salads, fresh-made guacamole and classic Mexican braised meat entrees, all prepared from time-honored recipes with natural, locally sourced ingredients. Frontera Fresco also will serve an extensive selection of margaritas, cocktails and craft beers and wine.
Philadelphia-based Daroff Design is designing the nearly 6,000-square-foot space, which will seat 200 guests.
October 23rd - New performers are now appearing at the Morocco pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase. Ribab Fusion, a popular band from northern Africa, celebrates Morocco’s Amazigh culture with everything from smooth grooves to high-energy funk, fusing the traditional sound of the single-stringed ribab with a contemporary, Afropop style. They are only in Epcot until January 2nd 2016.
October 20th - Minnie and pals will continue to host dinner at Hollywood & Vine all year round and not just for the holiday season. in Disney's Hollywood Studios Minnie’s fabulous dinner parties celebrate the cheerful togetherness of the holidays, the glamour of Hollywood, the delight of spring, the excitement of summer and the frightening fun of Halloween. With each new season, look for unique music, décor, all-new costumes, menu items and interactive musical moments. Reservations open October 27 for the next seasonal dine. From January 4 to March 20, Minnie will be hosting a dinner party celebrating the magic of the movies and the glamour of Hollywood.Cost is $46.99 for adults, $27.99 for children.
October 19th - Disney has released details of a “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Opening Night Event which will be held at Disney Springs. It will be a special ticketed event taking place on Thursday, December 17th at the AMC theater between 7 and 8 p.m.Guests attending the Opening Night Event will have a confirmed seat at the first few public showings of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and then enjoy a private after-hours party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios until 2 a.m.
The party will include access to the new Star Wars Launch Bay exhibit, the Star Tours – The Adventures Continue attraction, and a DJ dance party. The night will be highlighted with the preview of a new fireworks spectacular set to the iconic “Star Wars” score. Event attendees will also get a commemorative souvenir event ticket.
Tickets to the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Opening Night Event at Walt Disney World Resort will be available from today at at amctheatres.com/starwarswdw after the trailers release. Ticket prices range from $94.99 to $99.99.

The Candlelight Processional is a dramatic re-telling of the Christmas story with celebrity narrators, a massed choir singing traditional and contemporary Christmas songs – along with the symphonic strains of the Walt Disney World orchestra. It takes place nightly at The America Gardens Theatre at Epcot from November 27 to December 30. It is presented three times per night — 5 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.
October 18th - Disney has announced Epcot’s Soarin’ attraction will close in the New Year, January 4th, for a lengthy refurbishment. This is to make upgrades to the attraction, surrounding areas and work on the new theater. It’s not known if the new movie will be shown when the ride opens again summer 2016.
October 12th - ShellieMay, Duffy the Disney Bear’s best friend, will be coming to Walt Disney World locations this fall. As the story goes, ShellieMay was made by Minnie Mouse and filled her with joy so that Duffy would have a best friend by his side. A 17-inch plush bear along with several costumes for dressing ShellieMay, a “My First ShellieMay” 12-inch plush bear and costumes.
October 11th - At around 5pm on Saturday night Orange County Fire Rescue officials were called to assist in rescuing guests after the Yellow Monorail stopped on the track between Disney's Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom.
Passengers were headed to Magic Kingdom from the Transportation and Ticket Center before the train stopped due to mechanical problems.
After 2 hours some passengers were evacuated by a cherry picker while the remaining stayed aboard and were towed back to the Transportation Center before evacuating. No injuries were reported although many complained of the cabins being too hot when the monorail stopped as the air conditioning also stopped . Passengers were met at the station by staff who handed out bottles of water.
October 8th - Actor and Disney Legend Kurt Russell met with Donald Duck Oct. 7, 2015 at Walt Disney World Resort. Russell hosted a wine seminar featuring his wine brand, GoGi Wines, at the 20th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.
